Department of Energy (DOE)
Offers a great extent of energy information including Data and Prices, Efficiency, Environmental Quality, National Security, Science and Technology, Sources and Production (includes a section on solar power). Go to the A-Z Index and search in 'S' for solar energy information.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The U.S. Department of Energy's premier Laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research, development and deployment. Includes Research and Technology, Data and Documents, Clean Energy Basics, National and International Applications.

National Aeronautics and Space Administration
Click on Search the NASA Web button and enter 'solar , energy.' This will retrieve various NASA reports and research on this topic.

National Science Foundation
NSF publishes research documents on a variety of topics and also provides grants and awards. Select Use the Search NSF Web feature.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
NOAA's mission is to describe and predict changes in the Earth's environment and to conserve and manage wisely the Nation's coastal and marine resources. Search the NOAA Library Catalog by words or phrase or subject using 'solar energy.'

Oak Ridge National Laboratory

Renewable Resource Data Center
Contains data relating to natural energy sources (solar radiation, biomass, geothermal, and wind power). Includes an illustrated glossary of alternative energy-related terms, and links to projects and information for students and teachers.
